The New World Times

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Some Sites of Interest

This issue there are more construction sites to cover than ever. If I had time, I'd make a Better Homes and Gardens supplement between issues just to cover more constuction, because these places are extemely cool! If you want to submit your site for inclusion, send me mail at webmaster@synergycorp.com. Be sure to tell me exactly what you're emailing about. If you like, include screen shots. Size of the screen shots should be approximately 480x360, and they should be in JPEG format captured using hicolor (16-bit, millions of colors) screen resolution. Make sure to give exact coordinates and a general description of the site.

As usual, just click on a smaller in-line picture to see a larger one. But better yet, teleport to the site! It's tough to get a screen shot that conveys the real mood of a place--I try to show you something representative, but the only way you'll get the real feel of a place is to go there.

This site somehow conveys a
Japanese feeling with standard
building materials.

Tazunu Inoue has created a Japanese site in AlphaWorld at 7800s 7967e using only the standard building materials, which is tough to do!

The scope of the site is tremendous, with Japanese-style gardens and many buildings, large and small. Overall the feel is very peaceful and harmonious. You can tell a lot of thought and hard work went into this!

The site is very large.
Try flying above for
a "bird's eye view."

Spaceships and other unique
objects set Colony Alpha apart.

Until recently, Colony Alpha's claim to fame was the construction of Moria, who has also built some impressive things in AlphaWorld. Now that it's officially open for business, construction in the colony is taking off unbelievably.

These are shots of the CA Spaceport Maintenance Facility and surrounding area at approximately 20N. Spaceships are very popular in CA, both as avatars and building objects... the fit the theme quite well.

It won't look like this for long, folks, but Cyborg Nation is going through a psychedelic interlude, complete with a sound file of Jimi Hedrix's Purple Haze (beware, it's over a megabyte!) and a Ground Object you won't believe! If you catch it in time, try flying around at max speed, it's almost reminiscent of the sixties.
